- Description/pictures are exactly what I received. I thought that inexpensive solid wood furniture no longer exists, but this table has certainly proven me wrong. Really nice set for the money.
- Used as a dining room table in our small condo, it’s a great addition! Solid wood, great quality for the price. Easy assembly.
- This product is what I hoped it would be. The wood is attractive, and it seems pretty sturdy so far. Time will tell of course. However, for less than $200 and free shipping, it's a risk I would recommend taking.
- I am 55 and lived with do-it-yourself furniture all my life, from pine boards on cement blocks to a variety of pressboard laminated veneer pieces from Wal-Mart and Ikea. This is the real deal, real wood throughout even though I can see the mitred finger joints where the wood is joined together to make the tabletop. It went together very nicely, very solid once the hex head screws were snugged up tight. I love the pub height since I am not a sit down at dinner kind of diner, more like "Let's eat! And see what game is on TV" kind of guy. The table I was concerned about since there are no lower rails to stabilize the piece, but once I had the double screws set on each leg it turned out to be completely square and solid - no wobble for weak or uneven legs. The stools are easy to slip on and off (I'm 6'0") This looks like it could survive a long time and still be serviceable.
- There is no furniture glides included for any of the legs, so I will add some from Lowe's, adjustable for the stools to take out a slight wobble on one of two.
- Installation from start to finish was about 45 minutes. All required parts needed to assemble the table/chairs were included in the packaging. The directions were straightforward and everything was either labeled or easily identifiable. The packing carefully guarded the wood, each leg was individually wrapped in protective covering. Two Allen wrenches were provided and are all that were required to complete the assembly of this table set.
The size of the table is a perfect fit for two. Four people eating at the table will need to share space but will fit if need be (additional matching stools can be purchased). The high chairs work well for both short and tall people (I'm 5'3", boyfriend is 6'1" and we both find the height of the chairs and table to be comfortable). The lack of chair backs actually improve your posture at the table.
Exceptional value for the price, looks more expensive then it really is and feels extremely sturdy - has good 'lasting' potential. I would highly recommend this to family and friends.
- I've never wrote a review for anything I ordered online and this is my first. I have looked daily for weeks for a high 40+ inch height pub table. This is the only one that is within my budget range that also looks good. I originally was getting the table-only from walmart (130$) but they refunded it because it broke during shipping. Now that I had a second chance to reorder it, I thought carefully and decided to get the 3-piece set so all pieces match. Totally worth it! Solid wood, solid color, solid look, great quality. I'm impressed even though I already set the bar high having already read the reviews here. It's ideal. Of all the tables I looked, nothing was even close when considering price, "pub height", and color.
